Bio-Assay Scientist
Position Summary
Seaside Therapeutics seeks to appoint a bio-assay scientist to manage the implementation of a mass spectrometry facility in-house, and to manage and perform the bioanalytical and biomarker operations of that facility.
Experience and Education
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline and up to 5 years experience in the skills sought or a BA/BS/MS graduate in a relevant scientific discipline with a significant level of experience (>5 years) in the skill set needed.
- Technical experience in the application and operation of mass spectrometry for bio-assay work.
- Proven competence to develop and qualify bioanalytical methodology for small molecule and protein/peptide analytes in biological samples.
- Expertise in the handling, analysis and tracking of complex datasets, and the use of custom software for these purposes will be essential.
- Excellent communication, organizational and written skills will be essential.
Responsibilities
- Performance of discovery and early preclinical development pharmacokinetic (PK) analyses, including non-compartmental PK analysis of the bioanalytical data, metabolite identification work and the conduct of DMPK screening assays.
- Contribute to an ongoing in-house biomarker discovery initiative by providing investigative mass spectrometry support and biomarker analysis.
