Job Responsibilities / Department Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to lead the Analytical group in the Therapeutic Protein Expression department. The successful candidate will provide oversight of the analytical support provided to several cell culture development groups. The candidate will also be expected to develop and implement new LC/MS based analytical methods to quantify media components and identify biomarkers in order to enhance the manufacturing of recombinant therapeutic proteins.
Basic Qualifications
PhD in analytical chemistry with 3-5 years of experience. Experience will include expertise in LC/MS, plate based analytical methods, metabolic pathways and expertise in utilizing mass spectrometry for the detection and analysis of metabolites.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience with automated liquid handling, multi-variate statistical analysis, cell culture media and process development is desirable.
