Small Molecule Product Sales Specialist
Champion the Bruker range of LC-MS/MS Small molecule products through expert support of sales activities, demonstrations, collaborative work, and presentations. Enhance the company position in the small molecule/pharma marketplace and create an unrivaled reputation for the company through training and support of new and existing customers. The position involves frequent travel within the USA and throughout the Americas. Candidates must be able to fulfill this requirement and be eligible to work in the US.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct high level presentations at conferences and customer sites
- Provide expert support of sales staff on customer visits
- Perform scientific work with prospective customers to generate interest, provide justification for purchases, and build relationships prior to, and during the sales process
- Conduct demonstrations of bioinformatics software
- Provide scientific assistance to customers, including site visits and telephone support
- Provide support for the other application scientists and engineers in the field of proteomics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Life or Analytical Science with post doc experience or experience in industry
- Considerable expertise in Mass Spectrometry applied to small molecule applications, including metabolomics, metabonomics, and impurity screening, and a good understanding of modern commercial applications of this technique.
- A very high degree of scientific credibility and ability to discuss and persuade at an academic level.
- Self-motivation is essential as is a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal.
- Well organized and able to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.
- A high standard of verbal and written English is a prerequisite.
