Associate Scientist - Separation Specialist

Description:

Must be capable of providing analytical and purification support to Amgen's small molecule drug discovery effort. Position is to develop and use chromatographic and/or spectroscopic methods for the analysis and purification of small molecules to support Medicinal Chemistry and Process Chemistry groups at the Cambridge facility. Major duties include analysis and purification of chiral and achiral molecules using supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC), mass directed HPLC, LC/MS and HPLC.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering
2+ years experience in academia or industry years experience with
2+ years chromatographic analysis and/or purification of small molecules

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering
4+ years of experience in academia or industry years in experience with
4+ chromatographic analysis and/or purification of small molecules
Experience with LC/MS, mass directed purification or analytical/preparative SFC Knowledge of other analytical techniques (NMR, MS) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
